DESCRIPTION:Presented by Birmingham Art Music Alliance and Hoover Public Library at Hoover Public Library\, Hoover AL \nMarch\, 24 2025\nThe Vuorovesi Trio presents a concert of music for flute\, oboe\, and clarinet by living composers. \nThe Birmingham Art Music Alliance and Hoover Public Library present the Vuorovesi Trio\, one of the leading woodwind trios of the combination of flute\, oboe and clarinet. The program includes music from the trio’s repertoire and new works by Alabama composers Michael Coleman\, Monroe Golden\, Gavin Green\, Holland Hopson\, Joseph Landers\, and William Price. \nThis activity is supported by Alabama State Council on the Arts. \nVuorovesi Trio (Finnish for “tide”) is comprised of University of Alabama School of Music faculty members Diane Boyd Schultz\, Mary Lindsey Bailey\, Osiris J. Molina\, the trio specializes in the unique repertoire for that combination\, and has already garnered significant critical acclaim.
