In celebration of our 30th anniversary, the Birmingham Art Music Alliance will present a series of virtual concerts during the 2025-2026 season. All BAMA alums and current members are invited to provide a video file with a performance of one of your compositions, duration 10 minutes or less.
If your preferred video recording is already in the BAMA archive, indicate the concert, date, YouTube link, or other info to help us locate it. Otherwise, you may upload to your own repository and send a link — or request access to BAMA’s Google Drive for direct transfer. If you have no such video, consider making one. Composer performances are acceptable, as are creative video works (not still images or scrolling scores) synchronized with recorded audio or electronic music.
There is presently no budget to cover expenses for new recordings. However, if you have no other option but possess a work for a solo instrument (cello, clarinet, piano, etc.), please indicate so in case there is funding later.
In order to participate, you agree to record a short interview (questions and details forthcoming) that will be edited as an introduction for your piece.
How to Submit:
Preferably ASAP, but before August 1, 2025, email with the subject “Video” and the following info:
- Link or reference to video file (see above)
- Composer
- Names of performer(s) and instruments, if applicable
- Title
- Duration
- Recording of DIY interview, to be completed after other info is received
